Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of apocalyptic fiction.
Not sure it’s fiction anymore.
This week, Spain’s been hit by massive storms and record floods.
Once you see this kind of devastation in person, it twists your mind forever.
And it hits differently when it’s right in front of you.
For me, it was the fires.
In 2017, a close friend’s house in Sonoma County (near San Francisco) vanished overnight.
30 years of family photos, belongings, and memories—gone in a single day.
They were devastated.
Climate Reality Check
Across the world, millions are feeling it.
Weirdly, what hits hardest isn’t just the heat. It’s the fires.
The smoke that hangs in the air for weeks.
Eyes watering.
Throats burning.
Lungs aching.
The sense of being trapped, wearing that smoke mask everywhere, 24/7.
Should You Move?
I saw a Twitter poll recently:
‘Have you thought about moving because of climate?’
78% said yes. Across the US, Europe, Asia—people are thinking about it.
Their biggest fears? Hurricanes, floods, extreme heat, infrastructure crumbling under pressure.
And now they’re asking—where to?
Some people are eyeing the Pacific Northwest, New England, the Alps. Others have specific criteria:
“Above 300 meters, far from rivers. Nowhere near forests that can burn.”
“Small town, four seasons, open land.”
“Somewhere close to family. A day’s drive away.”
It’s not just about moving.
It’s about finding somewhere that might actually last.
Where’s Safe Anymore?
Some people are betting on water security.
A friend says they’re staying in Houston, counting on “water stability.”
Another is snapping up cabins in northern Europe, preparing for when things really get bad.
But even the “safe” spots feel unstable.
Oregon was a favorite for “climate refugees” just a few years back.
Then wildfires swept through a million acres.
Some people left the West Coast; others moved right back east.
So what about you?
Have you started thinking about your own options?
New Reality, New Choices
Thinking about moving is one thing. Actually doing it is another.
Climate anxiety isn’t some vague worry anymore.
A new UN report says world population could peak by 2080 and then shrink.
People are having fewer kids, postponing big decisions, questioning where “safe” will be in the coming decades.
Maybe the question isn’t ‘should we stay or go?’
Maybe it’s: ‘What can we change here and now?’
It’s hard to see, but we’re living in a world of ostriches, with heads buried in the sand.
That’s it. Our entire system looks like this now.
And it’s heartbreaking.
We can stay like this… or look up and start shaking things up.
Investing in Solutions—Together
If you’re here, you probably want change.
Maybe you’re ready to make an impact.
At Climate Insiders we’ve decided to put our capital to work and invest in solutions that actually matter.
And we’re helping hundreds do the same.
Because capital is our biggest individual lever in this ultra-capitalistic system.
You don’t need to be a millionaire to help shift the course.
Some in our community invest as little as $1,000, building portfolios that drive real change, and feeling merry.
We’re co-investing in climate tech—like green mining and green chemistry.
Only in the most impactful stuff.
So if you’re ready, join us.
