If you’re in climate, picking the right events TRULY matters.
Most conferences? Overhyped. Zero ROI. A blur of panels and overpriced coffee.
But some? Absolute gold. Where the real deals happen, where the best minds collide, and where you walk away smarter, better connected, and actually inspired.
Here’s my handpicked list of the 8 U.S. climate events worth your time in 2025 👇
1. MIT Energy Conference (Boston, MA)
📅 When: March 3-4
One of the best energy-focused conferences in the U.S. Highly technical, with a strong academic backbone and top-tier speakers from public and private sectors worldwide. If you want the latest on energy innovation, this is a must.
2. SF Climate Week (San Francisco, CA) ⭐️
📅 When: April 19-27
Smaller than NY Climate Week but arguably more valuable.
Why? It’s founder and investor-heavy—the Bay Area still drives a huge chunk of climate innovation. Expect to see the best early-stage climate startups and leading VCs shaping the future.
3. US Climate Action Summit (Washington, D.C.)
📅 When: April 21-27
The Leaders’ Forum, the flagship event of the week hosted by Climate Group on April 24, brings together over 200 climate leaders for an agenda specially curated to facilitate big conversations on stage while allowing leaders to drill into the detail during small group workshops and roundtables.
The US Climate Action Summit 2025 will expand into a week-long series of activations and events.
4. EarthX2025 (Dallas, TX)
📅 When: June 21-25
As one of the largest environmental events in the world, EarthX2025 brings together a diverse group of over 4,000 ambassadors, prime ministers, VCs, environmental advocates, business leaders, and innovators.
Known for uniting innovators, policymakers, and the public, EarthX is more than an event—it’s a movement for actionable environmental change, making every attendee a force for good.
5. Aspen Ideas Festival (Aspen, CO)
📅 When: June 25-Jul 1
Imagine TED Talks in the mountains, but better.
A mix of climate, policy, culture, and innovation. Great for cross-industry networking and sparking big-picture ideas over coffee while staring at gorgeous scenery.
6. NY Climate Week (New York City, NY) ⭐️
📅 When: September 21-28
If you go to one climate event in the U.S. this year, make it this one.
NY Climate Week has become the undisputed heavyweight of climate gatherings in the U.S. Startups, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders all converge here.
The real magic? The side events—if you play it right, you’ll meet the right people and leave with deals in motion.

8. VERGE (San Jose, CA) ⭐️
📅 When: October 28-30

Carbon Unbound (East and West coast in the US, then a European conference as well). At least one of these events is a must if you care about Carbon Removal (which the IPCC says is now required!)... Next year, do a Top 10 and include at least one of these...
